Anadhanam is a platform that aims to eradicate hunger worldwide by streamlining the donation process and linking donors with trusted non-profit organizations and those in need. The core objective of Anadhanam is to provide support and resources to organizations that are actively engaged in combating hunger in areas where it is most prevalent, commonly referred to as hunger hotspots. These hotspots are regions or communities where food insecurity is a significant challenge, often due to poverty, natural disasters, or other socio-economic factors.

Anadhanam charges NO platform fees on donations.

Anadhanam recognizes that hunger is a global issue, and its mission is to contribute to the collective effort to end this problem by serving as a facilitating platform. By doing so, it acts as a bridge between donors, volunteers, and hunger-fighting organizations, enabling them to channel their resources and efforts effectively toward these critical areas. Anadhanam's mission is to collaborate with organizations dedicated to ending hunger in hunger hotspots, thereby ensuring that individuals and families in these vulnerable communities have access to the food and support they need to lead healthier, more sustainable lives.

Anadhanam is a platform that connects non-profit organizations (NGOs) with donors and volunteers. NGOs can register on the platform to request assistance and support by creating projects aimed at alleviating hunger in areas where it is most needed. Donors can contribute ration, food, or money directly to these organizations through our platform without any fees involved. Additionally, volunteers can offer their time and effort to assist with food distribution or other related activities.

Anadhanam is an initiative of Valliappa Foundation, which is the social impact arm of the Sona Group. With over 100 years of experience, the origins of the group can be traced back to pre-Independence India. The Group was founded by Kalaithanthai Karumuttu Thiagaraja Chettiar , who was moved by the plight of tea garden workers in the country. He was inspired to empower his fellow countrymen and enhance India’s economic development. Since its inception in the 1920s, the Sona Group has pioneered India’s growth in the fields of agriculture, textiles, construction, IT, and education.

Anadhanam focuses on ensuring the authenticity of fundraisers through various measures. Recipients are notified each time a donation is made to their projects, while donors are kept up-to-date on the fundraiser's progress through the Anadhanam web portal. Funds raised undergo a detailed verification process, which includes collecting and verifying identification proofs and pictures. Only after this thorough verification process is completed, the funds are transferred to the respective fundraiser's organizations.

Anadhanam can be a valuable asset during natural disasters by pooling resources such as food, shelter, medicine, and manpower. It also encompasses local knowledge and skills that can aid in search and rescue efforts, evacuation plans, and temporary sheltering. Moreover, Anadhanam strengthens community support networks and helps with rebuilding efforts. Overall, it fosters a sense of community and collective responsibility, which is essential for effectively responding to and recovering from natural hazards.

There are two ways in which you can contribute:

  • As a donor, you can contribute food, ration, or funds directly to a registered organization through Anadhanam. If you prefer not to donate to any specific project of registered NGOs, you can donate directly to the Anadhanam fund. We will then distribute it to the project of registered recipients on the Anadhanam web portal.
  • As a volunteer, you can contribute your time to provide support to NGOs in food and ration distributions, and other related activities.
